13 BEST WAYS TO CORRECT YOUR WIFE

13 WAYS TO CORRECT YOUR WIFE WITHOUT HURTING HER FEELINGS

1: LOWER YOUR VOICE
Don’t shout at her, she is not your child. You can correct, yes, but why shouting?

2: DO IT IN LOVE
Correction should be done in love. If done in any other way, it turns to criticism and condemnation.

3a: DON’T CRITICIZE
Stop criticizing her, rather correct in love. Most will say it’s constructive criticism. But truly, It means disapproval by pointing out errors and mistakes.
Correction is the act of offering better options to mistakes
Correction and criticism are never the same

3b: HUSBAND A SAYS
What manner of food is this?
Is this popcorn or fried rice?
how I wish I marry a more sensible wife with better home training, who can cook better.
HUSBAND B SAYS
sweetheart this rice it too salty and dry unlike the one you did yesterday. I think salt should be reduce any other time because of our health.
Husband A criticized while Husband B corrected his wife in love
STOP CRITICIZING YOUR WIFE

4 PRAISE HER FOR WHAT IS RIGHT
It will be wrong to correct when it’s not well done, when you don’t praise when it’s well done. Form the habit of praising and appreciating your wife for good deeds.

5 DON’T DO IT BEFORE YOUR CHILDREN
Avoid correcting your wife in the presence of your children. Incessant correction of your wife before your children will make them disrespect her.

6 DON’T CORRECT HER IN THE PUBLIC
Avoid correcting your wife in the public, it does not show you as a gentleman, and will affect her self-esteem.

7 AVOID CORRECTION IN ANGER
Stop correcting your wife in anger, shouting, ranting, beating and making trouble. Real men don’t do that.

8 DON’T COMPARE HER WITH ANY OTHER WOMAN
In your thought of correcting her, you might have been comparing her with other women.
“Don’t you see what your friend is doing?” Can’t you learn from our neighbors wife?” “and so?”

9 AVOID REFERRING TO OLD ISSUES
Avoid referring to issues discussed and settled. Stick to the present issue, discuss like adults and move on.

10 DON’T ATTACK HER WOMANHOOD
“And you call yourself a woman?, Virtuous women don’t behave like this, you better change before I change you!.” This is very wrong, don’t do it

11 DON’T ATTACK HER DIGNITY
You don’t behave like someone with sense, do you think at all? And you said you went to school, I doubt it.”
This is very wrong you also are not talking like someone that pass through a college.

12 DO IT IN TIME OF PEACE
Most husbands do want to correct in the heat of anger, at the height of misunderstanding, when temper has already hit the roof. That is not the best time to correct, it will yield little or no result.

13 GIVE A HELPING HAND
The best way to correct is to lead by example, step into the kitchen to give a helping hand, don’t just sit in the front of the television correcting what goes on in the kitchen.
Wives are doing a great job, appreciate yours and support her to be better wife and mother.

IF YOU EXPECTS YOUR WIFE TO BE AN ANGEL IN YOUR LIFE, THEN YOU SHOULD FIRST CREATE A HEAVEN FOR HER.

JESUS AGREED THAT HE WAS AND IS GOD

JESUS AGREED THAT H WAS AND IS GOD

This is proof of why Jews killed Jesus Christ whatever they told you are pure lies the only reason Jesus Christ was crucified was because he claimed to be God and Son of God which totally contradict the Quran. Read carefully I have divided it, you can skip some parts I have given it subheadings so you can go directly to what you want to see.

FALSE ACCUSATIONS
Matt.26.59 – Now the chief priests and the whole council (the Sanhedrin) sought to get false witnesses to testify against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death;
Matt.26.60 – But they found none, though many witnesses came forward [to testify]. At last two men came forward

CHRIST CLAIMS TO BE GOD
Luke.22.67 – If You are the Christ (the Messiah), tell us. But He said to them, If I tell you, you will not believe (trust in, cleave to, and rely on what I say),
Luke.22.68 – And if I question you, you will not answer.
Luke.22.69 – But hereafter (from this time on), the Son of Man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God.
Luke.22.70 – And they all said, You are
the Son of God, then? And He said to them, It is just as you say; I Am.😳
Luke.22.71 – And they said, What further evidence do we need? For we have heard [it] ourselves from His own mouth!

NOTE: Luke 27:70 Jesus Christ said I AM which is the title for God and made them angry 😡

JESUS CHRIST CLAIMS TO BE SON OF GOD
Matt.26.63 – But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest said to Him, I call upon you to swear by the living God, and tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.
Matt.26.64 – Jesus said to him, You have stated [the fact]. More than that, I tell you: You will in the future see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Almighty and coming on the clouds of the sky.

CRUCIFIED HIM BECAUSE OF BLASPHEMY
Matt.26.65 – Then the high priest tore his clothes and exclaimed, He has uttered blasphemy! What need have we of further evidence? You have now heard His blasphemy.

DID JESUS CHRIST ACCEPT BEEN WORSHIPPED ? YES HE DID!

ANGELIC ACTIVITIES ARE MORE AT CHRISTMAS OR AT THE BIRTH OF JESUS

ANGELIC ACTIVITIES ARE MORE AT CHRISMAS OR AT BIRTH OF JESUS
1.12.23 Edited WISDOM FOR TODAY
Prov. 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
We have entered December, the last month of the year. Our custom in this daily post has been to take a verse or more from each of the 31 chapters of the book of Proverbs and open up it’s implications concerning the body of Christ. We are starting another month and this, unlike November which has only 30 days, has 31 days. December is a special month to all of us. It is the month of Christmas. It has special meaning for me because my encounter that led to my conversion happened in December, on 30th. That I entered a day to the last day of the year has always left me with impression that I need to talk a lot of the last days.

I therefore look forward to see what the Lord will enable me to write for us in each day of December 2020. I pray that the Lord will teach all of us the wisdom we need to behave well before, during and after this Christmas. Thank you ahead for reading. Make sure you read His wisdom for each day since wisdom is like a deep but flowing well. Use everything you have to draw it out first for your personal benefit and for the benefit of others who may hear you.

Our story starts with the need for wisdom.God is the source or the Father of all wisdom (Eph. 1:17). His wisdom can come to man in any of the following ways:

  1. His direct audible voice as He thundered in Sinai.
  2. His inner voice which only your heart can hear like Elijah heard in 1 Kgs 19:12.
  3. Circumstances can speak to us as it did when Abraham was being stopped from killing Isaac and there was a ram caught by its horns.
  4. There can be burden of the Lord – the tpe that made Nehemiah pray for the afflicted Jerusalem more than those who reported the situation to him.
  5. God’s wisdom has come to many through dreams, visions ad trances.
  6. God spoke to some through other men – like Agabus spoke to Paul about the dangers in Jerusalem waitng for Him
  7. Angels are also channels of God’s wisdom to the earth. They are God’s wisdom personified.

Let Us Look At Angels And Their Appearances To Men Before Us

People are looking for aliens and they are shuttling into planets and stars that are billions of miles away. We, Christians, are the ones to tell them where the aliens are and how we can see them coming and going on the Son of Man (JN 1:51).

Christmas times started off with the coming and going of angels. The first one came to Zecharias, then he retuned six months later to Mary. Thereafter their visits became more regular. It was urgent to tell Joseph that the pregnancy of Mary was of the Holy Spirit just like it was also urgent later to inform the shepherds in the fields to go and visit the baby Jesus. There are always urgent matters when Jesus is about to be manifested. How can God’s angels not warn the wise men from the East to return by another way? Why should they not quickly inform Joseph of the impending danger to the baby Jesus? Then when Herod died, the Angel came to him in Egypt to return to Israel. When they landed in Israel, they also needed the information that the one that took over after Herod died was like his father, another enemy of righteousness.

It is actually the fear of the Lord that is the beginning of knowledge and of wisdom. Since Herod had no correct knowledge and wisdom, he went ahead to kill innocent babies in Bethlehem. Without godly wisdom, Pharaoh raised Moses in his house. Moses was a man destined to wreck his Kingdom. Without their worldly wisdom, Egyptians gave cause to the Israelites to want to leave for the Promised Land. That is the way the world operates and God rides on their craftiness.
Imagine.
There are innumerable numbers of angels here with us and scientists are roaming the whole space for aliens. The Bibles says that angels are here, yet the leaders of this world do not see them. As their eyes are out there on the ends of the earth, God will again surprise them by appearing on earth.

We, the preachers, are the ones to keep announcing the likely events leading to His advent or His coming. The angels started their work six plus nine months before He was born. That is fifteen month to His arrival as a baby. We are the angels I am talking about now. Angel mean messenger and there can be spirit messengers and human ones. God uses the same word when referring to both.

All the angels worked for Him. So let every minister of God know in whose vineyard he is working. All the angels delivered God’s message and nothing more. So let every servant of God beware lest he becomes the servant of men or of money or of his belly. All the angels left the scene the moment the message was delivered. Therefore learn to spend more time waiting on God than pleasing the people.

All the angels had to be heard. So, learn to hear the Lord. The best method is read the Bible from cover to cover and over and over. Why? Because you are not the first to begin hearing Him. Therefore knowing how He spoke to others before you gives you an edge over other men.
Conception
Conception was important when the angels were first delivering their messages. It’s like, the first thing God wants us to do is to become pregnant. Let Jesus be born and formed inside each one of us. In Gal. 4:19, Paul said that he was praying for believers in Galatian Church till Christ would have formed in them. We are talking of having a vision and we can do that. We can pray that the believers under us have Christ formed in them.
We need these preparations because another revival is here. Angels will again multiply their presence and appearances. Their coming and going will keep building up till resurrection power is here again. That is when the angels shuttle here and there more and they can be rightly called ministering spirits sent forth to minister to us (Heb. 1:14).
Remember that the curtain was torn from up down. There were plenty at the tomb. They appeared to Mary Magdalene and to the other women. They were at His ascension to tell the followers to accept the reality of His going away to heaven and to announce that He will one day return the same way. Thereafter they ministered to the brethren in the revival that kicked off then.
They were with the disciples and so there so many miracles. They spoke to Philip and helped him get the Ethiopian Eunuch saved. One came to Cornelius. Maybe the same one or another informed Peter that the servants of Cornelius were looking for him. Another or is it the same one, stood with Paul in Corinth (Acts 18:9-10) to assure him that no one would be able to harm him there. An angel stood by Paul in that terrible storm (Acts 27:23-24) to assure him that none would die on that ship. I like to see angels again. What of you?
Since we can only get what we believe, let us preach and make their roles popular again. The denominations have ‘highlighted’ demons and what they can do. Our people fear demons more than they fear good angels. And they see demons more. And good angels are more powerful and more numerous. One smote the mighty Herod (Acts 12:23) and he was eaten up by worms. Have we forgotten that? One killed 185,000 soldiers in one night (2 Kgs 19:35). Which fallen angel has been able to do that?
Let’s share this to every minster till we open our hearts to receive ministry of good angels. Let us not so train our members to see even good angels as demons. Welcome, dear angels. Do your work. After all we have at least one thing in common. We both rejoice when souls are saved.

BALANCE PROSPERITY PREACHING – 30.11.23 WISDOM FOR TODAY

BALANCE PROSPERITY PREACHING
(30.11.23-wisdom for today)

Prov 30:7-9
Two things I request of You
(Deprive me not before I die):
8 Remove falsehood and lies far from me;
Give me neither poverty nor riches —
Feed me with the food allotted to me;
9 Lest I be full and deny You,
And say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or lest I be poor and steal,
And profane the name of my God. NKJV

This is one of those good prayers God recorded for our learning in the Holy Scriptures. It is similar to Solomon’s prayer for wisdom to do what is expected of him. It is similar to the stanza in our Lord’s Prayer – give us our daily bread.

The person who prayed this was avoiding sin that lurks at both extremes. The poor is more tempted to steal. The rich is more likely to forget God. The Lord warned the Israelites not to eat to their full and forget Him (Deut 8:18). Jesus said in Luke 12:15, “life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” Remember that we come with nothing and you shall leave with nothing .Do not mind the folly of those who bury the dead with money or other properties. Those buried like that in the Egyptian pyramids have not gained anything from the thing around them since they were buried. We are not here for things; we are here to invest in eternity. Whatever is not invested before you die is wasted. Agur knew that he could only manage talents given to him while he was alive.

Besides, men that are poor materially may be rich physically, mentally or spiritually. The poor Lazarus made it to Abraham’s bosom. Where are the accounts of the rich man in purple since the day of Christ? He is still thirsty as you are reading this. There is deceitfulness of riches (Mt 13:22; Mk 4:19). Try and escape it. Seneca, the famous Roman philosopher, declared, “it is not the man who has too little, but the man who craves more, that is poor.” Proverbs 23:4-5 gives us a good advice, “Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.”
I Became a Liar
When I first dropped all to serve God, we began to lack. I went to meet a big man who came for a weekend from our capital city, Abuja. I was looking for a contract job. My situation was desperate. My family was bitter. They keep asking, “Are you better than so-so and so man of God?” I had no answer for them. So my resolve to focus on serving God fizzled away. I will again and again come out of God’s employment.
I was with the man on this Saturday. He wanted me to agree that I needed government employment. He could help me with that but I only wanted a contract that I would do quickly and settle my family and then return to what God wanted me to be doing. And I wished I could get it without spending much time outside God’s work.

As usual with him, he was serving everybody palm wine. There was the desire to please him by not looking like I am now a fanatic type of Christian. So I took the cup of palm wine and pretended to drink it. I did not drink it because I had grown to know God’s will on taking wine. Why was I misbehaving? It was lack that made me a liar before the big man. That is what poverty can do.
It was likely to be the force behind Gehazi’s running after Naaman and lying later. It was likely to be why Judas sold Jesus. It was likely to be why the rich young ruler did not follow Jesus. But you may say about that man, “He was rich.” You are the one seeing him as rich. He was really poor. Only the poor want more and more.
Jesus was rich, though He appeared poor. He was not poor. Having God is wealth. That made Joseph rich, though a slave. God’s word described Joseph as a prosperous man in Gen. 39:2.
The kind of prosperity I want is like Jesus’ who fed 5000 men, excluding women and children, without a store or a saving. Any time I think of that story, I wonder why He made them gather the remnants after the meals. Is that the balance to tell us that in spite of His ability to provide, He does not like wastes?
The person praying here does not want too little and does not like too much. Too much of the worldly things are bad. They attract kidnappers, thieves, bank charges, risks, fraudsters, etc. The first thing God does for his children is to take their eyes off money and things. No father gives car keys to his two-year old. He can, instead, buy him a toy car.
Adversity Has Benefits
The men of God in our time deliberately refuse to teach the whole counsel of God. What are the benefits?
You learn better in adversity.
Heb 5:8-9
though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. NKJV

You have understanding of the poor. Every Israelite is expected to be merciful to slaves because of their slavery in Egypt.
Deut 15:12-16
“If your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you. 13 And when you send him away free from you, you shall not let him go away empty-handed; 14 you shall supply him liberally from your flock, from your threshing floor, and from your winepress. From what the Lord has blessed you with, you shall give to him. 15 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this thing today. NKJV

  1. You develop faith. More of the poor are saved. Jam. 2:5
    James 2:5
Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? NKJV
At your wits end, you attract God. Mt 5:1-4
    Matt 5:3-6
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
    For they shall be comforted.
    5 Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled. NKJV
These qualities are found more among those we consider materially poor.
  2. You don’t have too many things to look back to. Lot’s wife looked back at things. The rich young ruler opted for money when Jesus offered him the way to eternal life.
  3. There is little vanity in your life. We came with nothing and shall go with nothing. What is the use getting involved with things that have no future benefits? Let’s handle only what will bring rewards in eternity. What do you gain if you come into world and so scoop things of value here and hold them in a way that you can’t see where you are going?
    1 Peter 5:2
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; KJV
You will discover you don’t need much to keep living. Lack of resources make you know that there are things in the market cheap enough for the poor to buy or gather for free.

AsK for Balanced Life
The prayer here is a prayer for balance. May your life be balanced. God can balance it for you. He did it for Paul with that sickness. It helped know his level. As God to Balance
Why?
You need God. That rich fool who had a wonderful harvest died. Those invited abut opted for things in Lk. 14 were no longer allowed to enter the feast. The rich man in the place of torment is still thirsty. Balaam missed it because he was greedy for things and was willing to trade the gifts of God for gifts of Balak. Judas missed it eternally. Demas missed it. Nobody bears that name. Demas as a name would have been popular like timothy’s name.
May our topmost Christian leaders help us get out of this confusion on prosperity preaching. We need money but not at the expense of our souls.

WISDOM FOR TODAY TO THE BODY OF CHRIST ON 28.11.23

WISDOM FOR TODAY – TO THE BODY OF CHRIST on 28.

WHO TOLD THE CHURCH NOT TO DO THE RIGHT THINGS?
Prov 28:1
The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion. NKJV

Sis.Mrs Ruth Alfa, someone in our Christian fellowship, once described fleeing to be running as if you are flying. Fleeing is not just dodging something in a casual way. It is a frantic effort to catch or escape something.

Someone may ask you to help him check whether his belt, worn under a gown, is okay. Only the man asking can say why he wanted help, seeing that nobody sees the belt under his clothes. But that is usually done casually. Ladies seek help about their head ties, about their make ups and about their dresses. Those are always casual requests.

The person we call the wicked is the sinner. Only God knows the sinner. Sometimes, that man or woman you consider as holy is a sinner in the sight of God. Sin is missing the mark (1 Jn 3:4), whether by not reaching it, or by going up, down, to the right or to the left. The day Moses was considered a sinner by God was the day the people were hailing him as a powerful man of God who got water for them out of the rock. No wonder nobody prayed to God to have mercy on Moses. Sin is a fleeing when God is not sending you.

Jer 23:21
21 “I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran.
I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. NKJV

The early Church leaders had enough reason to run from the place of prayers and ministry of the word and begin to serve tables, but they knew that nobody was pursuing them. What of the complaints and murmurings? It was not enough push for them. What if the fact that some people were hungry in spite of their own best efforts? It was not enough push. What of the fact that some were accusing them of partiality? It was not a push at all. They requested that more workers be ordained to help them remain in the place of prayer. Let God speak to our apex Church leaders today for, like Ezra, this matter lies in their hands.
Ezra 10:4
Arise, for this matter is your responsibility. We also are with you. Be of good courage, and do it.”NKJV
These matters before us as Church leaders are as serious as the matter of mixed marriages was in the days of Ezra. There are many areas that you should arise. Check the following areas and see if anyone or anything greater than God is pursuing us from doing the will of God. Check why the Church is fleeing from doing the right things. What is pursuing the members?
No One Is Pursing You From:
Preaching the Same Thing
Preaching the same thing is so important to the work of God in every generation as much as the trumpet must be clear before people can prepare for battle. I came across long 1 Cor. 1:10 long ago and I wonder why we are so hardhearted.
1 Cor 1:10
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. NKJV
Why would God beg us and we are adamant? Paul urged Timothy to preach the same thing he was preaching.
2 Tim 2:2
And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. NKJV
Timothy preached the same thing Paul Preached. What is wrong with our generation? Is it that there are no Pauls or that there are no Timothys? Are our Timothys striving to prove they are also wonderfully anointed? I have decided to preach what I heard my own Paul Preach. The Paul of the Bible has died. All the same, I see the spirit of Paul in one or two preachers in our generation. I have no option than to follow them. Or, young men in faith, can you not know those whose grace is ahead of yours? I cannot hear a preacher for five minutes without knowing whether I am to summit more to him more than I expect him to summit to me. Is it that these younger Timothys do not hear God their Father?
I had an experience I will never forget. Some years ago, a new Senior Pastor was sent to our Church branch where I also serve as an assistant Pastor. The first day, I went to greet him in the office, I must has despised him in my heart, for he was small in stature. As I was leaving him and going back to my house, I heard the Lord saying something like, “I need the two of you to serve Me here in this Church, but know that Rev. Philip Utaji is the leader of the work here. You are to work under him.”
I said, “Yes, Sir!”
You can ask any of the ministers I have worked under from the days I was a Pastor in Foursquare Gospel Church till today. I have never been unruly under any of them.
Paul again made another passionate appeal to us to all be of the same mind.
Phil. 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

There is nothing pushing us from preaching the same. Do you see anything? Is that thing bigger than God or His word? The wicked run when nobody is pursuing him. The Church must not flee from the principles of the early Church and expect things to be well.
Once we start preaching the same things, many things in the Church and in the society will fall into places. Preaching or speaking the same things will affect the following areas:
Contents of the Gospel
Ask ten persons what those who are called Christians believe. You may get ten different answers. A man of God, Bro. Gbile Akanni, brought out the contents of the gospel from the following scriptures and I have not been able to find a better alternative to it since the past six years.
1 Cor. 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time
What is it that a believer in Christ has believed? It is that he or she has accepted that:
a. Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures v. 3
b. And that he was buried. V. 4
c. And that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. V.4
d. And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve (and many more as you read to verse 11).
These were the four basic things the people in Corinth believed and stood upon. Apex leaders of the Church should tell us what to believe that is the minimum need for our standing in Christ. Some of our brothers and sisters are in Christ because they believe His power to multiply bread and some are here because of His miraculous works. Such were some believers in Jn 2:23-25 and Jesus did not trust them.

Jn 2:23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.
This should serve as a warning to us.

  1. Same Expectations of Lifestyles
After my conversion, I went to do something in Lagos and I came back with the impression that there are no Christians in Lagos. Why? Everyone I met, especially in Molue (public Bus) was rough. A student of Federal Polytechnic, Idah, and a member of our Church then, assured me that there are Christians in Lagos. The young man is from Lagos.

Still within a year two of my conversion, I went with my new convert, Adamu, to Makurdi. I was in Makurdi earlier (1982-87) before I was transferred to Idah where I eventually got born again. While in Makurdi in those days, I was not converted and I did not go to Church. I was not a practicing Catholic. This time, I was there as a new being. The man that lived in sin in Makurdi before had died and I was now a brand new person. On a Sunday, we left the Hotel where we slept and started looking for a Church to attend. We saw a booming one, across the railway line from Wurukum Roundabout towards the GRA. We entered and we enjoyed the service till the preacher got up and started preaching. He would walk towards us and back to the altar. We saw something like a cap on the back of the man’s head. My convert and I looked at each other in amazement. We asked each other whether that was not a cap. You see, we had already read in the Bible that man should not cover his head. So we knew what we must do. We just waited for him to back us one more time and we picked our Bibles and ran outside into our car and we left. The ushers couldn’t stop us.
That was our understanding of
1 Cor. 11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
There is need for agreement. New converts needs it to make them feel secure.

  1. Holiness
What is pushing us from having a common understanding of holiness? Nothing, but I have been in a denomination where a priest is entitled to one bottle of beer per day with a packet of cigarettes. This is confusion. I know a denomination where divorcees are leaders. I have heard of churches that allow remarriage after divorce, especially if they see the other partner as the devil. We need agreement. I see no other point of agreement except to lift Jesus up so high that we all strive to be like Him and do like Him. I believe that is what the Master wants all to do by giving us the great commission in Mt 28:19-20.

Mt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

  1. Prayers
It is confusion to have some praying with candles, some with beads and some with anointing oil. There is nothing pushing us from being like Jesus in prayer. He spoke to His Father as a man speaks with a friend. He spoke to Him in private and in public. He spoke to God more about the kingdom than about what to eat and what to drink. One white man said that the way we pray in Nigeria is different from the way they pray in their own country. Let the Christian top leaders guide us so that we are not too different from brothers from the same Father.
    Examples of Those who Ran
  2. Adam and Eve
Adam and Eve missed the place where God put them. They came lower in everything. No man was pushing them. Even devil did not push them. He only pointed to the tree and explained the great benefits of eating its fruits. The devil told them that they will be like God. That was not a push. They were already like God. The devil told Eve that they will be wise. It was not a strong push because they were all wise already. Ability to know all names of all animals as God had for them was not a thing to be taken lightly. The devil is still offering the same temptations. Let our leaders teach us to maintain our estate. Therefore we should tell all those who preach and emphasize what God did not emphasize in His word to stop. We cannot know more than God, can we? There is no way to be like God than to accept to be His sons and daughters and begin to grow into His image and likeness.
  3. Cain
Cain was the first human being to have ever been born on earth. He was more mature than Abel when their parents told them about the lives they lived while in the Garden of God. Who pushed him from understanding it? When the opportunity came to make offerings to God, who pushed Cain from making his life the kind that God could accept his offerings? Who pushed him to kill his brother, Abel? Like the wicked, what pushed Cain was in him. May you not allow anything to make you flee from God’s perfect will.
  4. Noah Cursed His Grandson
No need for Noah to have cursed Canaan.
And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. (Genesis 9:25)
What pursued Noah was not powerful. If it was, it would have pushed him to curse Ham, who did the evil act. Why did he spare Ham and sent the curse to the man’s son? It was because nothing powerful was pushing him. Cursing Ham would have devastated more of his descendants. That thing stopped Noah from becoming the father of nations that Abraham became and in the way Abraham became.
  5. Gehazi Ran After Hamam
The wicked run when nobody is pursuing them. Gehazi ran after Naaman. What was pursuing him? It is his greed for Syrian clothes.
  6. Judas Betrayed Jesus
Even though somebody must betray Jesus, Judas’ name was not put as the one. It was his self, that thing in man that makes him run against God’s will, that made Judah run to the religious leaders of the day to collect money in order to betray Jesus.
  7. Peter Denied Jesus
There was nobody making Peter deny his Master. A little girl at the gate mentioned that Peter was one of them that followed Jesus. If Peter had agreed, what would have happened? I do not think, the situation was too tense. After all John the beloved was known in that house. It was John that helped peter to enter the big house. There was no other person tortured along with Jesus. In fact, the Jews were not looking for small followers like Peter. Remember that the soldiers had allowed the disciples to escape from that Garden. Machus, whose ear Peter had cut earlier, was healed by Jesus. They all heard when Jesus rebuked Peter for trying to defend Him. Was Peter fearful because of what he did to Machus? What happened to Peter is a common thing to men – we run when nobody is pursuing us. I thank God for Jesus. He quickly restored Peter after the resurrection.
  8. Demas Away From Paul
Demas was one of the disciples of Jesus Christ. He was being raised through Paul. A time came when Demas left Paul because He loved the world. Discipleship has its own apparent problems. It looks slow. Your freedom to follow the Lord looks sluggish because you have go into everything in agreement with your discipler. I do not know what made Demas leave Paul, but he left Paul. Was it the way that Paul used him? It was not a big push became all that we may suffer here on earth is light compared to what we are going to reap in eternity. Demas has done his and he has gone. It is our turn to stick to our own leaders or disciplers.
    WHAT ARE YOU RUNNING FROM?
  9. Your agreement with God on your Bible study? Perhaps you have promised God that you would cover the bible in a year, in two or three years. Who stopped you? It is likely to be wickedness within you. The devil never stopped you from waking up early in the morning. It was that you enjoy sleeping in those early hours. You disrespected the covenant you made with your God. You preferred to spend more hours browsing, watching that film or just browsing the internet. You ran when nobody pursued you. Laziness should not too strong for you. God is greater than laziness.
  10. Check your prayer life. Does it tally with that of Jesus? Align yourself to prayer lifestyle. Otherwise, you are running when no one is pursing you.
  11. Check your maintaining correct character. Is your character agreeing with what you preach or that of Jesus? Make it align.
  12. Monitor your visitation to the brethren. Study that of Jesus and measure your life with His. He is our example and our standard.
  13. Measure the way you attend Christian fellowship. Compare it to that of the early church. They were meeting daily and from house to house.
  14. Also measure your pursuit of ministry. It was not food and food for Jesus. Archipus was told to fulfill it. May you fulfill yours too.
  15. Wondering Thoughts?
Check your thought life. Joshua was told to meditate on the word of God day and night. Meditating on the word of God leads to having good success. Let us meditate on the word of God like those before us. That will give us good success.

TEMPER IS NOT THE SICKNESS BUT SYMPTOM

TEMPER IS NOT THE SICKNESS BUT THE SYMPTOM
The root of our anger — self (3/4)
By Watchman Nee

Anger is a common thing, and there are many people who lose their temper easily. But temper is the most superficial of all problems. Strictly speaking, it should be dealt with the moment we believe in the Lord. It is wrong to see a person with an uncontrollable or unmanageable temper eight or ten years after he is saved. So many people lose their temper easily. Why? So many Christians have not dealt with this problem yet. Why? If we cannot answer these questions, we cannot be proper Christians. We must understand the reason that a man becomes angry easily before we can find the solution to this problem.

Temper is a big thing. Yet in reading the New Testament, we cannot find the word temper. The Bible does not pay much attention to what we consider as the most common sickness, because temper is not a sickness but the symptom of a sickness. A sickness is one thing, and the symptom of a sickness is another thing. A man may have appendicitis — this is a sickness. He may have a fever as well — this is a symptom of the sickness. Symptoms are present because a sickness is present. It is useless to try to deal with the symptoms without dealing with the sickness. The fever may subside temporarily, but the sickness remains, and after a while the fever will come back. Temper is not a sickness but the symptom of a sickness. Hence, we have to know the root of the sickness. Once we know the root, we can get rid of the temper. Once the sickness is gone, the symptoms will surely go away. We have to realize that temper is a symptom and not a root of sickness. It is wrong for us to consider temper a sickness. It is no wonder that we cannot deal with it, because we consider it as a sickness.

Many brothers have said that they have a problem with Romans 6:11 because they still cannot overcome their temper. Romans 6:11 says that we should reckon ourselves to be dead, but many people have a problem applying this verse. When they are about to lose their temper, they hurriedly try to recite Romans 6:11, saying, “I have died, and since I have died, I can no longer lose my temper.” Yet this is not effective. Romans 6:11 is not about delivering us from the symptoms of sickness but about saving us from the sickness. It is useless if we try to apply it to our symptoms. If we try to reckon ourselves to be dead when we are about to lose our temper, we will still lose it. We may not lose it outwardly, but we will lose it inwardly.

What is the root of our temper? The simple answer lies with the self. If a man has not dealt with his self, he is heading in the wrong direction if he tries to deal with his temper. A man loses his temper because of the self. His self is his sickness; his temper is not his sickness. Because a man has the self, he has temper. If the self is dealt with before God, temper will be gone spontaneously. This is why the Bible pays attention to the self instead of our temper. Once the problem with the self is solved, the problem with temper is solved as well. As long as the problem with the self remains, the problem with temper remains. Concerning the self, there are several things that we should realize.

First, some people are very subjective. Those who are subjective are surely full of the self. They have opinions and concepts for everything, and they think that their concepts and opinions are never wrong. They also constantly insist on their opinions and proposals. They cannot stand any obstacles, frustrations, or breaking down. Their opinions must prevail and persist to the end. If anyone does not agree with their proposals or go along with their opinions, their subjective nature has no tolerance. Consequently, they lose their temper and become very angry. Brothers and sisters, if your eyes are only on your temper, you will never be healed of the sickness. Your sickness is your subjectivity and strong will; it is not your temper. Once your subjectivity is broken and your will and opinions are bruised, you will say to the Lord, “Lord, this is Your work, and I submit to You.” If you do this, how can you lose your temper again? If you kneel down and say, “Lord, this is Your business; it is Your work” when your proposals are cut off, how can you lose your temper? It will be impossible for you to lose your temper. You only have a temper because you insist on your proposals and opinions. When you insist on your way of doing things, the self comes out and temper follows. No one can lose his temper if his self is removed. The root of your temper lies in the self. It is foolish to spend so much effort to deal with your temper while forgetting to deal with your self. Once a man believes in the Lord, the self must be broken. The self cannot remain whole before the Lord, and it is not worth keeping. If a man is free from the self, he will not lose his temper even when he is interrupted, frustrated, or tried.

Second, some people have a temper because they think they are better than others. They think highly of themselves and think that they are superb. In other words, they are proud. Everyone who is proud not only considers himself higher than others, but also demands that others admire and regard him highly. No proud person is satisfied with just having a high regard for himself. He is not content with just himself saying that he is good; he wants others to say that he is good. A proud person is not content with self-admiration; he wants everyone to admire him and the brothers and sisters to exalt him. If another brother does not appreciate his “worthiness,” his “importance,” or his high “spiritual attainment” or does not speak marvelously of him, he feels hurt and becomes angry! Where is the source of this anger? It comes from pride. A man becomes angry because he is proud. Brothers and sisters, if you remove your pride, you will remove your temper. It is impossible to remove one’s temper without first removing his pride. The root of temper is pride. You will not lose your temper if you are a humble person in the eyes of God, if you consider others’ jesting, despising, and slandering as the discipline of the Holy Spirit, and if you accept this disciplining work, saying, “Lord, this is all for my own good; these things have happened to me because You want to deal with my pride. Lord, I thank You for Your perfecting work in these things.” Then when a brother does not obey and instead damages your standing, you will feel that pride is wrong and that it is all right to be hurt. If you do this, you will not lose your temper; rather, you will say to the Lord, “It is right for You to deal with my pride.” If you know God’s hand, you will not lose your temper. Brothers and sisters, temper is not a sickness. If you deal with temper as if you were dealing with a sickness, you will never succeed. You have to learn to prostrate yourself before the Lord and say, “You can do whatever You want.” If you put your self aside and are willing to deny and deal with your self, you will see that your strength to lose your temper will be gone, your motivation to lose your temper will be gone, and your temper will lose its grip.

Third, as a consequence of self-exaltation, you think that others should not be as highly regarded as you. You only want to see yourself being uplifted; you do not want to see others being uplifted. You only want to gain something for yourself; you do not want others to gain anything. You rejoice at others’ failure and are sad at others’ success. This is jealousy, and jealousy occurs not only in the secular realm but also in the spiritual realm. Those who are proud rejoice at their brothers’ failures and are unhappy when they see their brothers standing. This is a despicable attitude. No attitude is more despicable. If a man rejoices when others fall, he is the same as Satan, who loves to see others fall. What a shame for God’s children to have Satan’s sentiment! The meanest and most despicable sentiment is one which rejoices rather than grieves over a brother’s fall. The basis for this kind of feeling is the desire for the self to be exalted. One hopes to see everyone around him fall in order that he can be exalted. Brothers and sisters, a person who knows God wants to see both himself and others rise. Those who do not know God want to see themselves rise, yet do not want to see others rise. They even hope to see others fall so that they can be exalted by the contrast. This is a despicable sentiment. Temper often comes because there is jealousy in the heart. If you are a self-exalting person, you will be angry if you see someone better and higher than you. Jealousy leads to anger. If you ignore jealousy and try to deal with just your temper, you will never succeed. You must uproot jealousy from your heart before you can remove your temper. If jealousy remains, your temper will flare up again and again.

Fourth, with some people the self is expressed in the form of self-love. They love themselves more than anyone else. Their attention is on themselves, and the only persons they treasure dearly are themselves. When it comes to eating, the most important ones to be taken care of are themselves. When it comes to lodging, the first ones to be taken care of are themselves. When it comes to bedding, the first ones to be taken care of are themselves. In everything related to the human life, the first ones in their mind are themselves. They want more benefit for themselves. They want more comfort for themselves. All of their thoughts are centered around themselves. They care for themselves and treasure themselves. When any discomfort comes their way, they become angry. Many people become angry because their self-love is hurt. They love themselves so much that they are not willing to suffer any hurt, pain, or embarrassment. Once their self-love is hurt and they fall into some discomfort, suffering, or embarrassment, they become very angry and lose their temper. Those who have learned this lesson before the Lord know that they live on this earth for the Lord and according to God’s grace; they do not live according to their self-love. They live by His grace and not by their self-love. They realize that they live and stand because of His mercy and protection. When they live this way, they do not lose their temper even if they are very justified in doing so. Their self-love has been dealt with. Brothers and sisters, I hope that we realize that all of our temper stems from the self. If the self is not dealt with, temper will remain. We cannot expect anyone to stop their temper if the self is not dealt with. Those who do not deal with themselves will find that their temper is still with them.

Fifth, some brothers and sisters love themselves so much that they care only for their own things. They are only interested in their own affairs and have no interest in the affairs of others. They have no interest in helping others. Their conduct and thoughts are centered around themselves. They are the most important persons, and their affairs are the most important affairs. Their thoughts are on themselves, and whatever they do is for themselves. They are busy for themselves, and they care for themselves. Therefore, they have no time left for others. If others bother them, they become irritated, and their temper flares up. Their activities are centered around themselves, and they have no sympathy for others. They love themselves so much that they have no time to sympathize with others. They are so busy with themselves that they have no strength to bear others’ sorrow. Many people lose their temper when others infringe upon their self-centered love; they feel disgusted and bothered, and they are impatient and angry. The root of all anger is in man’s self. If we are not self-centered and are able to sympathize with others and if we learn to love others, we will not feel bothered and angry when others trouble us. We will feel that it is a joy to help others and that by helping others we are serving God. Therefore, we must not deal just with our temper, because it is not the root. We must deal with the root of the sickness. If our self is dealt with, our temper will be gone. The more thoroughly we deal with the self, the more our temper will go away.

Sixth, some people love not only themselves, but they have other kinds of love — they love things; they love money. Some people are not yet delivered from material possessions. Money and material possessions are precious to them. All kinds of things are precious to them. They have a self that craves things, objects. The expression of the self in these people is in their love for objects. If someone comes to their house and breaks an object or loses something that belongs to them, they become very angry because they are hurt; the self which is attached to the objects is hurt, and the result is anger. The cause of their anger lies within themselves, not in others. If you hit a piece of wood with your hand, what kind of sound will you hear? You will hear the sound of wood. If you knock on the wall, what kind of sound will you hear? You will hear the sound of the wall. If you knock on a piece of glass, what kind of sound will you hear? You will hear the sound of glass. The hand is the same, and the knocking is the same, but the sounds that are produced are different. One is wood, and the sound is the sound of wood. One is a wall, and the sound is the sound of a wall. One is glass, and the sound is the sound of glass. Different objects have different sounds because the nature of these things is different. An outward phenomenon is an expression of the inward nature of something. Our temper is within; it is not outside of us. If the self is gone, the environment cannot stir up our temper. A man loses his temper because there is the element of self within him. As long as the self is within, he will lose his temper given the right environment. The environment does not produce the temper; it merely brings out the temper that is within.

Not losing our temper

N10, 000 PROSTATE TREATMENT

N10, 000 PROSTATE TREATMENT
My history
I went to Anyigba on 24th October 2023 to be part of the pre-prayers for the CEFN National Conference which was to start the following day. One of those who is normally part of that prayer group is Eld. Sule, my village. I told him of my frequent urination and the urgency that comes with it when pressed to urinate. Many times, the urines rushes out before I reach the toilet or leave the public.

His first answer was for me to just take some vegetables, things I can easily see around me anywhere. I reminded him of how one our elderly Pastors suffered from PROSTATE and doctors were not allowed to operate upon him because the local people in our village were sure that they could solve the problem. It was then he mentioned that Ebilai, one of the elderly men in our Church at home, has the medicine.

I asked for his phone number and he promised to collect it for me the following day. It was another who, having returned to the village after the first night of the Conference, collected the phone number for me. I phoned Ebilai and we talked. Apart from being in the same village, he is my blood relative. Eld. Sule was still at home and we contacted him to ensure he comes back to the conference with the herbal medicine from Ibrahim. It caused him some delay in the village, but he came back with the herbal medicine.

I began to pray that God will help me through it. You can guess my plight if you know why I made up my mind not to go back to the hospital.
Their tests were messy. Imagine a doctor inserting his finger into your anus.
Imagine how corruption made the doctor eager to test if the PROSTATE is not cancerous. Ordinary I without any medical formal education was able to read on the web that it is not every PROSTATE that is cancerous. In fact, most are not and the doctor could have begun treating me first, especially as I had no forty thousand naira for the test he alone will do in his office. He alone will get the money from me and buy that thing needed for the test. Normally, labs should handle tests. Why is corruption getting into this level of medical practice? So I begged God to heal me.

His answer came during our Zonal Night Vigil while Rev. Yahaya Obaje was ministering. He explained that ordinary droppings from children’s table delivered that woman’s daughter in Mt. 15:27-28 and Mk 7:27-30. I heard my Lord saying, “Be taking whatever you think that you need (droppings) for the treatment. There will be no problem.” From that moment, I knew that PROSTATE will never be able to kill me or knock me down. The Lord had spoken on the matter.
I began at first to take raw onions till I had this herbal medicine.

I got home from the Conference on 28th October 2023 and took the herb that evening. I was expecting God’s help and so I wanted to observe what would happen. When I woke up the following day, there was no need to run to urinate. I laid down there for some time. I got up and did a few other things like connecting my phone for charging. There was no pressure to run and urinate now. While going to the toilet I did not need to run or hold the urine from flowing out. My urine was not much and there was no feeling that I had to wait for more to come out. That is why I came back and sat down to write this my story. My hopes are high and I want this herbal medicine to help as many as possible. I believe this PROSTATE will help glorify God in my life. The words of the Lord came to my mind.
John 11:4
When Jesus received the message, He said, This sickness is not to end in death; but [on the contrary] it is to honor God and to promote His glory, that the Son of God may be glorified through (by) it. AMP
MY EXCITEMENT AND FAITH WAS LOOKING TOO MUCH IN THE SIGHT OF MY WIFE
My wife, after seeing my excitement and faith for about two weeks, insisted that I first go back and re-do the PROSTATE test I did before. I took her counsel and went back for another test on 14th November 2023. It was good I went. The Lab man, also a Doctor, after finishing his report showed me the difference. He said, “In the previous report the volume of the PROSTATE was 127ml while it has come down to 102ml in this one.” Then he added, “Whatever you have been taking as treatment, continue taking it.“

Copies of the two test results are attached to this testimony. Check them yourself.
